This week the Titans have travelled to the United Arab Emirates capital, where they will be competing for their maiden T20 title against five international domestic franchises. Drawn into Pool B, Albie Morkel’s men will take on the Boost Defenders tonight under the lights from 19:00 local time (17:00 CAT), before facing Auckland Aces tomorrow afternoon.
PitchVision will be taking video footage and using motion tracking technology of the Sky Blues to give our players and coaches the feedback they need to best best analyse a player’s technique. A unique feature of the software, is the live match streaming and ball by ball capture capabilities to best analyse a particular player’s technique of both the Titans and their opposing team.
Director of PitchVision, Craig van Dyk said: “PitchVision is proud to be the official analysis partner for the Multiply Titans in the Abu Dhabi T20 tournament. The Titans brand is going global and we at PitchVision are looking to do the same, with product representation in over 20 countries world wide.
“PitchVision’s association with the Titans can only further enhance our reputation both for our product and our brand.
“During the tournament our team will be on hand to ensure the Titans coaching staff and players have all the analysis and footage they need to bring the trophy home.”
Multiply Titans Head Coach, Mark Boucher, welcomed the extended coverage: “I feel that the PitchVision analysis software will give us the edge over our opposition by breaking down matches into trends and stats in various phases of the game, allowing our players to construct effective game plans.
“This software is particularly beneficial in a new competition, where the opposition and conditions are unfamiliar. Small margins are critical in T20 cricket, and this software can only help in gaining additional insights to effectively approaching opposing teams.”
